Purebred Arabian horses race starts at Jebel Ali race course   Print  E-mail

Today's meet at the Jebel Ali race course kicks off  the much followed race for Purebred Arabian horses.

Jawad Al Kheir from trainer Mazin Al Kurdi's yard will be bidding to complete a hat-trick of wins after his double success at Nad Al Sheba.

Ted Durcan will once again be in action as the seven-year-old Kesberoy son yields over 4.5 kilos and above to the rest of the field.

The main challengers will be the Doug Watson-trained Djelmane and the Erwan Charpy-trained Al Zaeem.

Djelmane won his last start here though he finished second after that to Sarrab in Nad Al Sheba last week.

Richard Hills will be on- board the six-year-old Dormane son and the Watson runner has been a consistent performer.

Watson has another good prospect in the feature event for thoroughbreds, the last race. Quick Nap (Gavin Birrer up) will also be bidding for a course hat-trick as the six-year-old gelding renews his battle with Restructured.

The Mussabah Al Muhairi-trained Restructured (Richard Hills up) will be looking to reverse the result here on December 24 and halt Quicknap's winning streak.

Joining the duo's battle will be Paddy Rudkin's Alton and Erwan Charpy's Elmonjed.

Elmonjed (Willie Supple up) will be tested in this 00-85 handicap race after his win in Nad Al Sheba over 1300 metres in a 00-75 race.
