"It was indeed a fast ride. But my horse [Georgat] has a lot of character. She loves to go on her own and starts getting stronger as the ride progresses. I am so very happy tonight ... both for myself and my horse," Lissarrague beamed.
"The horse [Georgat] was simply too much that day. It's a strong horse with a lot of heart,"Pierre Cezas, the French Chef d'Equipe, told Gulf News.
With the change in the provisional results, General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Minister of Defence was presented the silver medal. Shaikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan moved up to third place and took the bronze, which was received by Shaikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
Ian Williams, Ground Jury for the World Endurance Championship, maintained that he is awaiting more details and was not inclined to make any comments.
