Shaikh Hazza bin Sultan Al Nahyan awaits official verdict

Shaikh Hazza, astride 11-year-old gelding Hachim, had won the 160-km World Endurance Championship on Thursday, ahead of French rider Barbara Lissarrague. General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Minister of Defence, had finished third and Shaikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan had finished fourth.
This championship was interesting as all four riders had broken the previous best timing for the 160-km ride to create a new world record.
Lissarague was declared the winner during the awards ceremony and the third and fourth placed riders were promoted for the silver and bronze medals.
General Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE Minister of Defence, and Shaikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan finished third and fourth respectively.
Shaikh Hazza bin Zayed didn’t attend the ceremony and his place on the podium was taken by Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum.
