Shaikh Hazza was stripped of his medal because of an alleged prohibitive substance found in the blood samples of his horse. The blood sample which was tested positive for, yet, an unspecified banned performance enhancing substance, has been sent to a lab in Switzerland for the prescribed second test.

Shaikh Hazza had made an announcement on Sunday, saying he had no clue that his horse was administered with any kind of performance enhancing drug or stimulant. And he added that he had absolute trust that the trainer and the staff would not to resort to such lowly conduct.

The 10th FEI Endurance World Championship that drew a record 175 riders from 41 countries was held at the Dubai International Endurance City on Thursday and the awards ceremony two days later.
