As part of the Dubai Shopping Festival the sixth meet, Deira Race will be held at theJebel Ali racecourse will be held on  Friday. The organizing committee chief, Engineer Sharief Al Halawani, assured to make it memorable day out for all the families and individuals who are planning to spend a lovely afternoon at the outskirts of the city.

“I would like, above all, to convey the greetings of Shaikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and his keen intentions to draw a very big smile on the faces of all the spectators who are most welcomed to the Yellow racecourse,” he said.

“Just like what we have used to do, the spectators, their families and children will be under our care since their arrival and until they return home. We will provide all our attention, support and encouragement,” he said.

“15,000-16,000 free prizes will be distributed to the guests at the entry gates with special consideration to children. Also, about 204 electronic gifts, mobile phones and DSF gold coins will also be drawn on free coupons to be distributed along with the pick-six forms at the entry gates. “These include 15 TV sets provided by Romeo Design,100 gold coins by DSF, eight clocks by Ahmed Siddiqi, 40 children gifts by Fine Food, 15 mobile phones by Insurance Services Management plus eight rice cookers, eight travel bags and 10 ladies watches by the racecourse management,” he confirmed.

Regarding the prize-money for the pick six competition and double tri-cast forecast, Al Halawani said the management has allocated Dh112,000 to be won by the public. “Those who predicts the first three runners in the correct order in the first and second races will earn Dh24,000, and the same applies for the third and fourth as well as the fifth and sixth races.
