Madjani wins the prestigious His Highness The President's Cup (Group 1), Dh 1 Million prize money making it the richest Purebred Arabian race in the world at the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club yesterday evening.

Madjani gave a run for his rivals to win the His Highness The President's Cup (Group 1), the richest Purebred Arabian race in the world at Dh one million, at the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club yesterday evening. Madjani was trained by Gillian Duffield.  Madjani spearheaded a brilliant 1-2-3 finish for owner Shaikh Hamdan Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Minister of Finance and Industry in the race.

The victory lead has been remarkable for Madjani. Ridden by big race rider Richard Hills, the French-bred five-year-old   came home 8.5 lengths ahead of his nearest rival for his fourth success in a row.

Duffield hinted Madjani acts on both turf and sand, an indication the horse is on course for a shot at the   Group-1 Kahayala Classic. Madjani’s latest triumph extenended his unbeaten run to four.  Madjani’s latest triumph    extenended his unbeaten run to four.

Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Presidential Affairs and Dr Shaikh Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Chairman of the UAE Equestrian and Racing Federation, jointly presented the trophy to Ali Al Muhairy, racing manager for Shaikh Hamdan.
