The colourful closing ceremony of the championship was attended by Shaikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai and UAE Minister of Finance and Industry, Shaikh Sultan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE and a number of Shaikhs, top officials and guests.

Nadrah Al Rayyan was crowned Junior Female of the (one to three year olds) fillies on the final day of the Dubai International Arabian Horse Championship at the Dubai World Trade Centre here last night.

The one-year-old impressive daughter of Ashhal Al Rayyan claimed the championship for her Qatari owner Shaikh Saud bin Abdul Aziz bin Khalid Al Thani with 278 points, nine points clear ahead of runner up British filly Haniyyah.

Meanwhile, Psyches Amber Gem walked away with the Junior Female title for the Ajman Stud owned by Shaikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman.

In the Junior Male competition, Moutaz Al Biwaibiya snatched the verdict for Saudi Arabia and owner Prince Khalid bin Sultan bin Abdul Aziz, while seven-year-old Eternity Ibn Navarrone was named the Senior Male for his Belgium owners Paul and Martine Despeghdel-Van Hee.

Earlier in the morning, AJ Lafet for Ajman Stud won the Class Seven trophy for one-year-olds colts born between 01/10/03-30/09/04.

The eye-catching son of Nadihan Ibn Piwonia-D and Lora snatched the verdict with total marks of 277 at an average of 92,3 points going more than two points clear ahead of the Qatari contender Safir Al Rayyan from Al Rayyan Farm. Then came Ibn Batra from the stables of His Highness Dr Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, AJ Labwan for Ajman Stud and R. S. Boushra from the Royal Stables of His Higness The President.
